Tips for best results
The result is always a ZIP archive when splitting into multiple files. Use Extract Pages instead if you only want one section as a single PDF.
Page ranges use comma-separated values: 1-3 means pages 1 to 3, and 1,3,5 means individual pages 1, 3 and 5.
Combine with the Reorder tool to reorganise pages before splitting.
Common questions
Why is the download a ZIP file?
When you split a PDF into multiple parts, each part becomes a separate PDF. A ZIP bundles them all into one download.
Can I split just one page out?
Yes. Enter that page number in the ranges field. For example, enter 5 to extract only page 5.
The page numbers I entered did not work. Why?
Page numbers must exist in your PDF. If your PDF has 10 pages, entering 15 will cause an error. Page numbers start at 1.
