Tips for best results

Text-heavy PDFs (reports, articles) convert very accurately. Complex multi-column layouts may linearise into a single column.

If the PDF is a scan with no underlying text, run OCR first to make it searchable before converting.

After conversion, always proofread - numbers and currency symbols occasionally need correcting.

Common questions

Why does the formatting look different in Word?

PDFs store content as fixed positions on a page, not as structured paragraphs. Converting requires inferring structure, which is accurate for most documents but may differ for complex layouts.

The converted document has garbled text. Why?

This usually means the PDF is a scan without a text layer. Use the OCR tool first, then convert again.
