Detect and fill interactive form fields in any PDF. Supports text, checkboxes, radio buttons and dropdowns.
How to use Fill PDF Forms
Upgrade to Pro
Fill PDF Forms is a Pro feature. Visit /pricing to upgrade.
Open the Forms tool
Go to Tools and click Fill PDF Forms.
Upload your PDF
Drop a PDF that has form fields. Form fields are interactive fillable areas built into the PDF (AcroForm format).
Wait for field detection
The tool scans the PDF for form fields. Supported types: text inputs, checkboxes, radio buttons, dropdowns (combobox) and list boxes.
Fill in the fields
Each detected field appears with its label and an input control. Fill in text boxes, tick checkboxes, select radio buttons and choose from dropdowns.
Choose flatten option
Enable "Flatten form fields" to permanently embed the filled values into the PDF, removing interactivity. Leave it off to keep the fields editable in PDF readers.

Click Fill & Download to get the completed PDF.
Tips for best results
Only PDFs with AcroForm fields will work. A scanned form image or a visually-designed form without actual fields will show "No fillable fields found".
Flatten the form if you are sending it to someone. It ensures the values cannot be changed accidentally in a PDF reader.
If a field is required by the form but you leave it blank, the PDF will still be generated. It is up to you to complete all required fields.

Common questions
Why does it say "No fillable fields found"?
Your PDF does not contain AcroForm fields. This happens with scanned paper forms, printed forms saved as PDFs, or PDFs where fields are just visual elements. Only PDFs created with form software (Adobe Acrobat, PDFescape, online form builders) have actual interactive fields.
What types of fields are supported?
Text inputs, checkboxes, radio buttons, dropdowns (combobox) and list boxes. Signature fields are not currently supported. Use the Sign PDF tool for signatures.
What is the difference between flattened and non-flattened?
A flattened form has the filled values burned into the page as regular content. They cannot be changed. A non-flattened form keeps the interactive fields, so the recipient can still edit the values in their PDF reader.
Can I get a sample fillable PDF to test with?
Yes. Download the sample from the Help Centre at /help/forms. It has text, checkbox, radio, dropdown and list fields.
